Climate is having a renaissance- SOMA style. A few things you can look forward to: we're looking to dramatically expand our programming to include artists of all disciplines who are doing innovative and exciting work (music, film, dance, performance, comedy, etc.), create a Residency program to suport artists by sharing resources and creating a space where they can develop new work and have a good time in the process. 

 

And those are just the beginning. We need to raise about $50,000 to do everything we want for this year. That's a lot of money for a small theater, but with your help and support we know we can do it.

The Climate is a unique creation.

Climate Theater fills a void in the Bay Area. The Climate is small and inexpensive enough for young, new, and experimental theater companies while at the same time boasting the technical support of theaters three times it's size. With smaller venues closing down left and right, we're one of the last remaining places where artists can take some big risks in a supported environment.

 

Location Location Location.

Climate Theater is located on one of only five freeway exits in San Francisco. Over 60,000 cars drive past our theater every day... We have the corner building on 9th and Folsom... That gives us a huge visibility. In fact our two billboard size signs are quickly making Climate Theater a local landmark. Because of the unique traffic patterns of our location Climate Theater is one of the few places you can find street parking for shows.

 

Our Staff.

The staff of the Climate has been producing shows and events around the world for over twenty years. Our experience is passed on to young performers who grow exponentially as artists, producers, and technicians.
